A principal and President of Capitol Financial Consultants, Inc., Joel was born in 1954. He is an attorney, a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter, and a member of the Financial Planning Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston University in 1976 and his Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude and Law Review, from the University of Miami School Of Law in 1979. Joel practiced law until 1982 when he affiliated with Financial Service Group. He remained with that company through 1987 becoming Vice President of Financial Planning for FSG, Inc. in 1987. Since 1992, Joel has been a principal, President, and serves on the Board of Directors of JOJES, Inc. and, from 1999 through 2020, he had been a principal, President, Secretary, and Board of Directors member of Sterling Wealth Management, Inc. Joel serves on the Board of Directors for CFC. He is also the Treasurer and a Board of Directors member of McLean Youth Athletics.
